Virginia magnetic foot antenna

The President Virginia UP is a novel CB magnetic base antenna that not only looks good
Impression makes.

The magnetic base is extremely strong and provided with a rubber protection despite its small dimensions.

The dual-helical antenna emitter is slightly inclined and looks like a modern vehicle radio antenna.

According to the manufacturer, it is a combination of 1/2 and 1/4 lambda lamps.

The SWR is preset, the bandwidth is 800 kHz (80 channels). The usable frequency range is according to the manufacturer 26-28 MHz.

The antenna is 49cm long, weighs only 160 grams and comes with permanently attached RG174 coaxial cable (3mm) about 350cm long and PL plug.

The magnetic base is about 6 x 12cm small.

The load capacity is specified by the manufacturer with 250 watts PEP. But more than 50 watts FM continuous power, I would not really trust the antenna :) But fortunately that plays in the CB area anyway no matter, since only max. 12 watts (SSB) are allowed.

The transmission / reception performance is very good after the first tests and the adhesion force was easily given to my vehicle up to 170 km / h (unfortunately it does not run faster :)).
Thus a recommendation for the mobile CB radio operator, who prefers to use a somewhat shorter, but nevertheless well-functioning and perfect processed antenna.
