IC-M93D VHF DSC Marine transceiver

This compact Icom IC-M93D Euro handheld VHF radio lies comfortably in the hand with its flat keyboard and is easy to use. This handheld VHF with GPS is the successor to the Icom M19D and is considerably thinner than its predecessor and is even the thinnest handheld VHF on the market. The large screen has a high contrast and is therefore easy to read even in direct sunlight, making all the necessary information clear at a glance.

The built-in GPS (GNSS) system in the IC M93D Euro enables DSC calls, and you can immediately activate the MOB function as soon as a man goes overboard. The position and time are then immediately saved, which considerably increases safety. Since the radio has a GPS, you can also plot to a specific waypoint and store up to 50 waypoints.

Even with a belt clip, there is of course the possibility that your handheld VHF will go overboard at some point. Fortunately, that is no problem with the Icom IC-M93D Euro, which is IPX7 waterproof. The radio will float and the built-in Float 'n Flash will cause the screen and keys to flash, so you can find them quickly. As soon as you have removed your handheld radio from the water, the AquaQuake technology ensures that your radio is quickly dry on the inside by emitting sound vibrations.

In addition to safety, the ease of use of this handheld VHF radio is also a big plus. The handheld radio is particularly easy to operate, even for inexperienced users such as your passengers. In addition, the VHF has Active Noise Canceling for better intelligible messages. You can of course also connect a handset to this handheld radio, such as the Icom HM-165. You can attach this to your clothing, leaving your hands free.

You can set preferred channels on this portable VHF and the VHF is also equipped with a flexible Dual and Tri-watch, with which you can listen to multiple channels. However, when you use Atis in the Netherlands or Belgium, these functions are blocked.

The batteries of this VHF last approximately 9 hours. Fortunately, you know how your battery is at any time, thanks to the indicator that shows how full your battery is. Charging is simple and within 2.5 hours you will have your handheld radio fully charged again with the supplied charger.
